Seed dormancy
Dormancy- Dormancy is a term refered as a condition of seed not to germinate. Any seed can be germinate with its favorable condition. In nature seed have to face a lot of restriction for germinating. For seed germination effectively there have several factor influences. Several factor can make any seed dormant. Sunlight is such types of factor that can make seed dormant. Lack of water also can make seed dormant. Seed germination happens through imbibition process. Root produces in seed to search for water and nutrient. Any dormant seed may be capable to germinate if favorable condition and environment is found.
